Patrick Mahomes posted a new photo of himself and his infant daughter, Sterling Skye.

Mahomes is embracing the life of a girl dad. The former MVP and Super Bowl winner is only a month into parenthood, and he can’t stop gushing over his little girl.

On Saturday, Mahomes posted a photo of himself and Sterling Skye.

The greatest challenge of Mahomes’ life won’t be on the field, but off of it. Fatherhood is a whole different game, and certainly not close to anything Mahomes is familiar with. This isn’t to suggest he’ll be anything but a great father — if anything it’s the contrary. Mahomes and his fiancé, Brittany Matthews, have given their daughter a loving home. Sterling Skye is adored.

While raising another Chiefs fan, Patrick Mahomes’ focus turns to the gridiron

Mahomes’ Chiefs are facing a surprising hurdle, trying to climb back to the football mountaintop after losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl 55. Brett Veach is rebuilding Kansas City’s offensive line on the fly, signing the likes of Kyle Long and Joe Thuney, while letting Eric Fisher and Mitchell Schwartz walk.

Mahomes has expressed enthusiasm about both moves, which shouldn’t surprise anyone. Every quarterback prefers to be protected, and when that’s not the case drama ensues. Look no further than Seattle’s spectacle with Russell Wilson.

On top of this, the Chiefs hope to bring in another wide receiver, likely to replace Sammy Watkins as the team’s second option on the outside, opposite Tyreek Hill. After failing to sign JuJu Smith-Schuster, that’s proving tougher than expected.

At the very least, the Chiefs can take solace in the fact that Mahomes is locked up for the next decade-plus. Meanwhile, a quarterback learns to play a new role — dad.
