Pick Analysis. Linebacker. Jamin Davis. 85. player. Scouting Report. Kentucky. 54

Davis is becoming a hot name in the middle rounds for teams looking to boost their athleticism at linebacker. He may not have the size to ever hold up in the middle, but his athleticism makes him a potential standout on the weakside.

Flip on the tape of Davis at Kentucky and you see a guy who has the explosive ability to knife into the opposing backfield to make plays. If he were more consistent, he’d hear his name called in Round 1. His lack of ability to make the above-average play all the time will push him down into Round 3.

The Eagles can reasonably project him to replace either Duke Riley or Nathan Jerry in their starting lineup. Both players are headed for free agency and may not return in 2021.

Anytime a team gets an immediate starter in the third round it should be considered a success. Davis isn’t going to suddenly elevate the Eagles’ defense to dominance next season, but he can help them take a small step forward as a unit.
