Fourth Round

127. 46. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. OT. D'Ante Smith. East Carolina. player

Smith played left tackle for East Carolina, with an injury last season that eventually led to him shutting it down to prepare for the draft. He’s considered an excellent athlete, and despite not playing in the Senior Bowl due to a sprained ligament in his thumb he showed himself well during the practice week.

Smith may best fit as a guard in the NFL, but he’s got moldable skills and physical traits that could keep him at tackle. It was noted by observers at the Senior Bowl how he had added some muscle. At 294 pounds via his Senior Bowl weigh-in he could probably still stand to add some weight, but an NFL workout program might do the trick there.

Zach Hicks of Stampede Blue openly professed his desire to see Smith land with the Colts. Beyond that sentiment, the Colts should have a lot of interest.
