In a recent interview, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill revealed he turned down the team’s request for him to restructure his contract.

Time and time again, Tyreek Hill has made some truly spectacular plays for the Kansas City Chiefs. Whether it’s in the regular season or the postseason, Hill is always ready to come up big for Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes.

Well, it looks like general manager Brett Veach was hoping he’d be able to do something for him, but that wasn’t the case. That’s because Hill revealed that the front office asked him to restructure his contract, but the stud wideout denied that request.

In the video above, Hill told FOX4 News in Kansas City that the team indeed asked him to re-work his deal, but he said that after talking with his family and his agent, Hill decided that it wouldn’t be in his best interest to do that.

In September of 2019, Hill signed a three-year extension with Kansas City worth $54 million. He’s making an average of $18 million a year and has a cap hit of $15.85 million this upcoming season. Kansas City has been incredibly busy this offseason, highlighted by the signing of star offensive lineman Joe Thuney. The Chiefs inked the former Patriots guard to a five-year deal worth a head-turning $80 million.

Kansas City isn’t done, as fans are hoping they go out and add some pieces for both the offense and defense. Meanwhile for Hill, he’ll look to have another huge season in 2021 after a sensational campaign in 2020. When he does take the field, Chiefs fans will be ready to watch him blow past defensive backs like he normally does.
