Green Bay Packers full 2021 NFL mock draft
The Packers enter the 2021 NFL Draft with 10 picks. Here’s who Green Bay will select with each of their value selections.
If the Packers want to strengthen their roster for a Super Bowl run this offseason it will need to happen in the NFL Draft. Green Bay’s lack of salary cap space makes the chances of adding an impact free agent pretty small. Fortunately, the team’s front office has 10 picks to work with in April.
That clearly gives the Packers ammunition to make trades up and down the board to secure their top prospects. Predicting that kind of activity at this stage of the pre-draft process is impossible. Instead, this piece will operate under the (unlikely) assumption that Green Bay stays put at every spot.
Any Packer fan will quickly tell you that finding a top-notch wide receiver for Aaron Rodgers is a huge offseason priority. Securing a couple of players capable of strengthening the front seven is also vital for Green Bay’s hopes of being a Super Bowl contender in 2021. This mock starts by giving Rodgers a stellar weapon to play with in Round 1.
Davante Adams is a stud, but he needs help if he’s going to continue to produce at an elite level. Thats’ why Green Bay nabbing Bateman towards the end of Round 1 makes so much sense. He’s the perfect outside receiver to take serious heat off Adams moving forward.
The Packers will face a nervous wait to see if he will fall all the way down to them at No. 29. The quantity of first round wide receiver talents in this year’s draft class will work to Green Bay’s advantage. If Bateman is still on the board when the Packers go on the clock they shouldn’t hesitate to snap him up.
