An NHL official might’ve admitted to a make-up call in favor of the Detroit Red Wings.
The Nashville Predators will likely have a word with the league office after an unnamed official was caught on hot mic via the local television broadcast potentially admitting to making a make-up call in favor of the Preds opponent, the Detroit Red Wings. The alleged admission came in NSFW fashion, as well, which won’t make the FCC happy.
Maybe if you're a mic'd up ref, you shouldn't express how you wanted to call a penalty against a team earlier in the game, changing how you ref the rest of the game.

Red Wings among worst teams in NHL, Predators aren’t much better
The lowly Red Wings could use a few calls in their advantage as they sit in last place in the Central Division with a measly 24 points. In comparison, the first-place Tampa Bay Lightning have 48 points at this juncture of the season.
Nashville hasn’t faired much better, with just 31 points through 33 games. Both teams sit on the outside looking in at a Stanley Cup Playoff spot.
Despite the awkward call against them, the Predators did manage to notch a win, 2-0, at home against Detroit on Tuesday night. Goals from Mikael Granlund and Mathieu Olivier were all the Preds needed to outlast the Red Wings, who despite an admirable effort from goaltender Thomas Greiss, struggled to generate much in terms of opportunities in front of Juuse Saros.
