Green Bay Packers supporters are not happy whatsoever that the front office has gone out and re-signed cornerback Kevin King.
Thus far this offseason, general manager Brian Gutekunst hasn’t quite pleased Green Bay Packers fans the way they were hoping he would. The dream for many was adding Will Fuller to help out Aaron Rodgers and the offense. Fuller ended up signing with Miami.
So, what has Gutekunst done to bounce back from that disappointment? On Tuesday, he re-signed Kevin King to a one-year, $6 million deal. That’s not what cheeseheads were hoping to see, though, as they’ve voiced their anger all over social media.
Packers fans couldn’t be less excited about the Kevin King contract
Indeed, if you take a quick look at Twitter, the reaction from Packers fans is not one that brings excitement at all. You’ve almost got to feel bad for King if he looks up his name. It’s a bloodbath out there.

When that “one bad game” is the nfc championship and you give up multiple touchdowns and commit a game ending penalty. It’s no surprise that you aren’t welcomed back with open arms

I am done with this incompetent franchise who is content winning the divsion and playoff game.He was the main reason for an nfccg loss with a disastrous performance &they resign him instead of getting someone better or signing any free agent. This is a joke.

As you can see, countless folks in Green Bay still aren’t over King’s woeful performance in the NFC Championship Game. While the loss wasn’t solely on King, the defensive back was nothing short of awful in the contest and got lit up by Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay offense.
The Buccaneers went on to win that game, and then followed that up by defeating the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl. The Packers were forced to watch that from the comfort of their own home. Now, the team has hopes of wiping away those terrible memories by winning the NFC crown next season.
With Rodgers under center, the team will always have a shot. However, Gutekunst will need to do more than bring back King if he wants the team to be in a position to win a ring next winter.
