NBA Twitter could not believe Malik Monk roasted the Heat again
NBA Twitter was in disbelief as Malik Monk lit up the Miami Heat once again.
The last time Malik Monk faced the Miami Heat, he dropped 36 points on 11-of-18 shooting in a 129-121 overtime win for the Charlotte Hornets.
In their latest meeting Friday night, Monk continued his ascent up the list of notorious Heat killers.
Finishing with 32 points on 12-of-17 shooting off the bench (including 5-of-9 shooting from 3-point range), the 23-year-old lightning rod scorer unleashed the full Malik Monk experience on the unsuspecting Heat once again. The scary thing is, he only needed 26 minutes to do it.
Malik Monk was absolutely unstoppable against the Heat yet again
For the second time in a row, Monk torched the Heat with a barrage of 3-pointers, and NBA Twitter was absolutely delighted.
In the first half alone, he had 24 points on 8-of-11 shooting, including five made 3-pointers. Hell, even in the first quarter he quickly made his presence known, going off for 10 quick points. In fact, he was up to 21 points in his first nine minutes of action.

It didn’t take long for people to point out how dominant Monk becomes whenever he faces the Heat:
The inevitable comparisons to Hornets owner Michael Jordan weren’t far behind either.

The rest of Twitter was just blown away by how Monk continues to catch fire against this one specific team:
Thanks to Monk’s early scoring barrage, the Hornets led by as many as 30 points. While Miami was able to come back and make it a game with less than a minute to go, Charlotte held on for the 110-105 victory. The Hornets have now won three games in a row, while the Heat have lost six straight.
And it’s all thanks to the early, scorching-hot cushion Malik Monk provided in the first half against a team he just hates for some reason.
