Packers news: Aaron Jones wore a Packers-inspired sombrero to sign his new contract (Photo)

It is a fiesta with Aaron Jones signing his new Green Bay Packers contract in a green and gold sombrero.
Donning a green and gold sombrero, Aaron Jones makes it official that he is going back to the Green Bay Packers.
When Jones signed with Drew Rosenhaus to be his agent, we all thought that meant he was getting out of Dodge to search for the highest money possible in his NFL free agency. As it turns out, it was quite the contrary. Jones took less money to re-up with the Packers on a four-year, $48 million deal. Adorning the sombrero for the momentous occasion, Jones is ready for the party.
Aaron Jones goes from fifth round out of UTEP to multi-millionaire in Green Bay
Through his first four NFL seasons, Jones has rushed for 3,364 yards on 651 carries for 37 touchdowns. Jones has rushed for over 1,000 yards in each of the last two seasons, coming off the first Pro Bowl nod of his budding NFL career. Now entering his age-27 season, Jones will close out his athletic prime firmly in Green Bay uniform. Can he help the Packers get to the Super Bowl?
By coming back on a four-year deal, Jones’ contract length will align with the latter years of Aaron Rodgers’ career. While the Packers shamelessly overdrafted Rodgers’ potential successor in Jordan Love last spring, he is not going to get Green Bay back to the Super Bowl. What will do that is Rodgers rifling the pigskin downfield to Davante Adams or handing it off to Jones over and over.
Fresh off that new contract, you better believe Jones put the sombrero to work in a fiesta of sorts.
