Chiefs news: Patrick Mahomes impersonator goes viral on TikTok (Video)
By Scott Rogust
A TikTok user can impersonate Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes to near perfection.
In just four years, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has become arguably the NFL’s biggest star. Making the Super Bowl in two of his first three seasons as a starting quarterback, winning the NFL MVP in his first season off the bench and has the highest-selling jersey throughout this past season. As is the case with any star athlete or celebrity, they are often imitated.
There is one user on TikTok named “UnofficialMahomes” who does a pretty spot-on voice impersonation of the Chiefs signal-caller. Don’t believe us, take a listen for yourself.
Chiefs: TikTok user has spot-on Patrick Mahomes impersonation
Watching this above video puts Tyreek Hill’s impersonation of Mahomes during Super Bowl 54 media day to shame. Sorry, but it is true.
This past season, Mahomes and the Chiefs fell just short of their goal of repeating as Super Bowl champions, as they lost 31-9 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Throughout the regular season, Mahomes completed 66.3-percent of his passes for 4,740 yards, 38 touchdowns and six interceptions.
Throughout the playoffs, Mahomes threw for 850 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions (65.0 completion percentage) in three contests.
This offseason, the Chiefs have made moves to keep themselves in contention for the Super Bowl. After releasing tackles Eric Fisher and Mitchell Schwartz, the Chiefs bolstered the interior of the line of scrimmage with the signing of former New England Patriots guard Joe Thuney and Kyle Long, formerly retired Chicago Bears offensive lineman.
Additionally, the Chiefs re-signed the likes of wide receiver Demarcus Robinson, offensive tackle Mike Remmers, running back Darrel Williams and defensive end Taco Charlton.
One has to wonder if this video will reach Mahomes and if he will respond.
