One Cleveland Indians fan was so done with the team after Opening Day, they’re boycotting the rest of the season.

Losing to the Detroit Tigers is never fun, this much is fair. The Tigers are expected to finish near the cellar of the AL Central once again, despite a potential changing of the guard as it pertains to their rebuild.

Still, Cleveland could’ve used a win on Opening Day, especially with Shane Bieber on the mound and in their first game since trading away Francisco Lindor this offseason. For the record, Lindor signed a 10-year, $341 million contract late on Wednesday night.

Overall, it has not been a good 24 hours for Cleveland baseball fans. One supporter even reached his/her breaking point on the Bruce Drennan show postgame.

Opening Day overreactions are an MLB staple, even in Cleveland

Bieber still had 12 strikeouts on the day, all of which were filthy. He had a rough start, but figured things out too late. The Indians offense didn’t do him any favors, as they gave their ace no run support. Cleveland scored two runs in the ninth inning thanks to a Roberto Perez homer, which applied some late pressure in Detroit.

Nonetheless, Drennan is right to get on this so-called fan. It’s Opening Day! Relax!

Baseball is back for Cleveland, but that’s also not enough to sustain fan enthusiasm for more than a few hours. The Indians have had a rough go of it lately, and losing one star player at a time due to ownership choice won’t help matters.

Heck, they can’t even get a contract done with Bieber.

Nonetheless, there’s 161 games to go. It’s time to calm down.
