Aaron Rodgers matching Jeopardy! winnings for small business donations
By John Buhler
Aaron Rodgers guest hosting on Jeopardy! is about to get even more awesome.
With Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers guest hosting on Jeopardy! for two weeks, he plans to match all the winnings earned and donate them to his COVID-19 fund at NVCF.
Rodgers has been preparing to guest host on Jeopardy! like his Packers are about to play one of the best teams on their NFL schedule. Not only is he taking this opportunity to fill in for the late Alex Trebek very seriously, but he is going to put his money where his mouth is to help some people out in his native California. This is a great example of him putting his star power to work.
Aaron Rodgers wants as many people to win big on Jeopardy! as possible
Obviously, replacing a television legend like Trebek is going to be next to impossible for anyone to pull off. However, Rodgers taking his stab at it as a guest host should be entertaining for any viewers of the incredibly popular game show on NBC. For him to be willing to match whatever the winnings might be during his two-week run as the show’s guest host is really cool of him to do.
Rodgers is the reigning NFL MVP and one of the unquestioned top-three quarterbacks in the league today. While he is in his late 30s and he is not going to play at this high of a level for all that much longer, we have to wonder what is next for one of the most marketable professional athletes of his generation. If his two-week run on Jeopardy! pans out, maybe he has a future in it?
Rodgers is certainly making the most of his opportunity to serve as his favorite show’s guest host.
