Aaron Rodgers says MVP season might have messed up Packers timeline
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers joined The Pat McAfee Show on Monday and took a thinly-veiled shot at the organization.
Aaron Rodgers is having a damn good time.
Rodgers, who frequently goes on The Pat McAfee Show, did so again on Monday morning. During the spot, McAfee asked him about his contract and future with the Packers, considering the team traded up to take former Utah State quarterback Jordan Love in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
In responses, Rodgers stayed fairly even-kneeled before saying this of his MVP season:

Rodgers, 37, has no reason to hold back. It’s obvious the Packers were thinking about moving on in the next few seasons, but considering the team reached its second straight NFC title game and Rodgers was brilliant throughout the campaign, it’ll be tougher for general manager Brian Gutekunst to do.
Last season, Rodgers threw for 4,299 yards with 48 touchdowns against five interceptions. Green Bay finished 13-3 and won the NFC North for the second straight year before beating the Los Angeles Rams at Lambeau Field in the Divisional round. However, the Packers fell to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers the following Sunday, ending their season in disappointing fashion.
With Love still signed on the cheap for three more seasons, the Packers have time to figure out their next move. Theoretically, they could decide to move Rodgers if things go poorly in 2021, but it would be an incredibly gutsy (insane?) move.
In the meantime, Rodgers is hosting Jeopardy! for the next two weeks.
