Bauer ended up tossing 6.2 innings in this one, giving up three hits and two earned runs. This offseason, Los Angeles made the monster splash in signing the standout hurler to a three-year, $102 million deal.
There were several teams interested in landing his services, as Bauer is no question one of the best starters in the game. With Bauer and Clayton Kershaw leading things for the rotation, the Dodgers are the favorites to repeat as World Series champions.
Despite that, there’s some early controversy for Bauer in his Dodgers uniform. For now, we’ll all have to wait and see how things play out here, but Bauer may have some explaining to do.
