Phillies fan rewarded an Bryce Harper, Freddie Freeman autographed baseball (Video)

Freddie Freeman and Bryce Harper came together to make a Philadelphia Phillies fan’s day.
When Philadelphia Phillies fan Joshua Scott decided to give up his Freddie Freeman home run ball on Friday night to another patron at Truist Park wearing an Atlanta Braves fan wearing Freeman jersey, he had no idea what was about to happen by the end of the homestand.
Ahead of the series finale on Sunday Night Baseball, Scott and his father James were surprised by Freeman himself, giving the young Phillies fan an autographed baseball signed by the Braves first baseman and Philadelphia’s superstar outfielder Bryce Harper. It was an act of kindness that did not go unnoticed. Good job by the Braves, Phillies, Freeman and Harper for making this happen.
Once again, this is what baseball is all about.

Philadelphia Phillies fan is rewarded for his act of kindness in a big way
Even if the Braves and Phillies aren’t tight, given that they’re bitter NL East rivals and all, it is great to see two outstanding organizations and their two star players to come together to make this magical moment possible. Catching a home run ball is rare. Catching a home run ball by the reigning NL MVP is rarer. Even if he is not a Braves fan, it is amazing Scott would give up the ball.
Overall, what makes this moment even better is that Scott got to share it with his father. Sports have a way of bringing families together in ways other avenues cannot. For Freeman and Harper to go out of their way to make this moment possible speaks volumes about their character. Even if Braves fans will boo Harper relentlessly at Truist Park, it is impossible to criticize this moment.
Freeman, Harper, the Braves and the Phillies have made a baseball fan out of Scott for life.
