Report: Jeff Fisher working with Eddie George at Tennessee State where he won’t have to deal with 7-9 bulls**t

Former NFL head coach Jeff Fisher is reuniting with Eddie George at Tennessee State.
After a few years out of the spotlight, former NFL head coach Jeff Fisher is resurfacing at the college level.
According to FootballScoop, the Tennessee State Tigers plan to hire the former Houston Oilers/Tennessee Titans and St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams head coach in an advisory role to help his former Titans star running back Eddie George assemble a coaching staff. George was hired as the next head coach of the Nashville-based HBCU football program over the weekend.
George is reportedly looking at hiring Fisher’s son Brandon Fisher to be the Tigers’ new defensive coordinator. The Tigers are also apparently looking at adding former Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson as their offensive coordinator. These are some massive names hoping to make George’s run a success.

Given that George is arguably the most talented player to ever play for Fisher, it makes sense that the former NFL head coach would play a part in helping his former star get out on the right foot in his coaching career. The younger Fisher has worked for the Rams before, most recently with the SEC’s Auburn Tigers. Jackson is a former two-time NFL head coach and offensive coordinator.
Though Lewis does not have any significant coaching experience either, for him to be considered for a role on George’s staff speaks volumes about the amount of respect these former on-field adversaries have for one another. After seeing what Deion Sanders is trying to do at the HBCU level at Jackson State, it was only a matter of time before another program really went big time.
Fisher has always had an eye for coaching talent, so he will be of great use to his protege George and he won’t have to deal with any 7-9 bulls**t in the college game.
