2. Dallas Goedert, TE

Zach Ertz remains on the Eagles’ roster amid trade speculation. By the end of the draft, it seems certain he’ll be elsewhere as Roseman acknowledges what he can actually get in a deal.

Goedert had a productive season alongside Ertz in 2019, with 58 catches for 607 yards and five touchdowns as the Eagles’ wide receiver group was depleted by injuries. Both guys were top-10 fantasy tight ends that year.

Goedert missed five games last year, which dropped his numbers to 46 catches for 524 yards. But he averaged a career-best 11.4 yards per catch and a career-high 8.1 yards per target. Going back to the fantasy angle, Goedert was top-12 tight end on a per-game basis in standard and full-PPR scoring last year.

In Jalen Hurts’ first two starts last season Goedert had 14 targets, which was good for an 18.9 percent target share in those games. He played a lower snap share in Week 16, with three catches for 38 yards, before sitting out Week 17 with a calf injury. So that budding rapport fizzled out fairly quickly.

The Eagles should be ready to open the door for Goedert to have a breakout season in 2021. The looming trade of Ertz will take that door off its hinges, and throw it away.
