Jake Paul and Ben Askren faced off in the main event of Triller Fight Club on Saturday, April 17th.
Jake Paul, a YouTuber turned professional boxer faced off against former Bellator and ONE Championship welterweight champion Ben Askren in the main event of Triller Fight Club on Saturday night.
The fight was a short one after Askren hit the canvas following a stiff jab from Paul after only 1 minute and 18 seconds of the very first round. Askren was back on his feet after only a count of five but the bout was subsequently waved off by the official in the ring Brian Stutts. He cited that he gave him instructions to step forward but became concerned when Askren failed to do so.
Paul’s professional record extends now to 3-0 with 3 knockouts.
While the fight did not satiate many fans’ desires for a long and brutal boxing match it did provide some great snapshots of both competitors from the pool photographers who were stationed throughout the arena for the event.
