Tim Anderson got the scoring started early Sunday afternoon as the White Sox clash with the Red Sox in Boston.
The Chicago White Sox had a night to remember earlier this week when Carlos Rodon threw a no-hitter. Now the team is just trying to win Sunday and avoid a slide to 6-9 in the standings.
The White Sox are squaring off with the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park and Tim Anderson decided to waste no time in giving his team the lead. He made it 1-0 after one single pitch.

Tim Anderson rising up White Sox record books
A leadoff home run is always exciting and remains the best way to start a game. Anderson now has nine of those exhilarating starts to his name and will be second in White Sox history when he hits his next one. That still puts him well behind Ray Durham and his 20 leadoff homers.
Durham is not remembered as a power hitter, but something about the leadoff spot in the order worked well for the two-time All-Star.
Anderson also got a hit in his second at-bat Sunday as he looks to single-handedly carry the struggling White Sox to a victory.
