More troubling injury news has come in for the Brooklyn Nets, as star sharpshooter James Harden has suffered a setback with his hamstring injury.

Just when you thought things were starting to turn around for the Brooklyn Nets on the injury front, the team has been delivered rough news. First, Kevin Durant suffered a thigh contusion against the Miami Heat and will miss some time.

Now, it’s been announced that James Harden has suffered a setback with his hamstring injury and will be out indefinitely. With Durant and Harden both dealing with their bang-ups, Nets fans sure are starting to worry.

Brooklyn Nets star James Harden has suffered a setback with his hamstring injury

Despite both Harden and Durant missing extended time, the Brooklyn Nets are in the middle of a sensational campaign. The team is 38-19 and in second place of the Eastern Conference standings, sitting one game back of the Philadelphia 76ers.

However, if this team has dreams of bringing an NBA title to Brooklyn, there’s no question whatsoever that they need to be at full strength. This of course means having Harden and Durant at 100 percent health and ready to suit up for the postseason.

Fortunately, Durant’s thigh contusion isn’t serious. He should be back sooner than later. Harden’s hamstring injury surely is more concerning, especially since he suffered a setback and won’t be on the hardwood as originally expected.

With this latest setback, Harden is out indefinitely and there’s no timetable for his return. That, of course, isn’t the kind of news that Nets supporters wanted to hear. For now, everyone in Brooklyn will hope Harden can slowly but surely see some progress and get back to his usual talented ways on the hardwood.
