Padres screwed over by bizarre error leading to Brewers go-ahead homer (Video)

The San Diego Padres were cursed by an unfortunate series of events against the Milwaukee Brewers.
That’s just the way things are going for the Pads right now. Facing a series defeat at the hands of the Brewers, the Padres allowed a late lead to slip out of their grasp thanks to a truly bizarre error by their catcher.
With Keone Kela on the mound, Victor Caratini tried to toss the ball back to his pitcher, only for it to deflect off the bat of Omar Narvaez, and ricochet down the third-base line. This allowed the runner to advance. Later in the AB, Narvaez drilled a two-run homer to right field.
San Diego Padres getting a dose of reality early this season
While it’s still early, the Padres lost their first series at home against the Dodgers in very close fashion. They’ll head to Los Angeles and hope to return the favor this weekend against the best team in baseball.
San Diego is incredibly talented, with big names in the rotation and up and down the lineup. Yet, even with all those acquisitions, they’re still viewed as the second-best team in their division. Imagine that.
