Tiger Woods provided an update on his health via social media, this time in the form of a photograph.

Woods was flashing his classic smile on the two-month anniversary of his severe car accident. The PGA Tour golfer was standing on crutches with a full brace on his right leg. Given where he was at just a few weeks ago, this can be described only as a major medical improvement.

Woods was in a major car accident while driving through Rancho Palos Verdes on Feb. 23.

Woods wrote in the caption, “My course is coming along faster than I am 😃. But it’s nice to have a faithful rehab partner, man’s best friend.”

Tiger suffered comminuted open fractures in his right leg, leaving many to wonder if he’d ever play professional golf again. However, his condition was actually an improvement of the worst-case scenario, which many were left wondering in the immediate aftermath of his accident. Thankfully, Woods was okay after emergency surgery.

Tiger Woods’ accident forced him to miss the Masters

Woods still provided statements and support for Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama after he became the first Japanese-born golfer to win the tournament.

“Making Japan proud Hideki. Congratulations on such a huge accomplishment for you and your country. This historical @TheMasters win will impact the entire golf world,” Woods wrote at the time.

Woods has come back from major injury before, as he’s undergone multiple back surgeries that required years of rehabilitation. This would be his greatest achievement yet, however, as it’s far too soon to think about a return to golf. For now, we’re grateful Tiger is alive and well, and able to work on passion projects like his new golf course.
