Clemson football star Trevor Lawrence has a mural in his hometown of Cartersville, Georgia.

Even though the former Clemson football star quarterback Trevor Lawrence has yet to play a snap in the NFL, the presumptive No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft now has a pretty sweet mural in his hometown of Cartersville, Georgia.

By this time next week, Lawrence will be the face of the Jacksonville Jaguars franchise. In three years at Clemson, Lawrence won a national title, played for another and reached the College Football Playoff every January. He is the most highly anticipated quarterback prospect since Andrew Luck coming out of Stanford in 2012. Only in his early 20s, Lawrence now has a mural.

What do you think about Lawrence’s mural in Cartersville, Georgia?

Lawrence is expected to be the knight in shining armor for the AFC South doormat franchise. Outside of the #Sacksonville season of 2017, the Jaguars have made the AFC playoffs once since the Jack Del Rio era down in Duval County. Lawrence is expected to be the best quarterback in franchise history. With Urban Meyer’s tutelage, he has a great shot to eclipse Mark Brunell.

Ultimately, Lawrence feels like Jacksonville. He is a former college superstar in a metropolis that loves its college football. Lawrence will play for a staff with deep college roots and in one of the smallest media markets in the NFL. Simply put, his talent and work ethic are too great for even historically dysfunctional Jacksonville to not succeed. For now, he has that Cartersville mural.

Jacksonville will draft Lawrence No. 1 overall with the expectation that he will become an all-timer.
