During batting practice on Monday, Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper hit a baseball that collided with another ball in mid-air.
When watching sports, you may see some things that you would think is impossible. But have you ever seen a hit baseball collide with another ball in midair?
On Monday, the Philadelphia Phillies arrived in St. Louis for their three-game series against the Cardinals. During batting practice, star outfielder Bryce Harper hit a line drive to right-center field. However, someone threw a ball from the left field stands back onto the field, causing both baseballs to collide in midair.

Phillies: Bryce Harper causes two baseballs to collide in midair during batting practice Monday
Harper could not believe it. Phillies third base coach Dusty Wathan could not believe. Even you probably could not believe it.
It is truly fitting that this happened 24 hours after Harper hit two solo home runs over the Rocky Mountains in Philadelphia’s series finale against the Colorado Rockies. The issue is that Harper counted for the team’s only runs of the game, as they lost 12-2.
Entering Monday night’s game, Harper is slashing .338/.471/.662 while recording six home runs, 10 RBI, 17 runs scored and 23 hits.
If the cameras had not caught this anomaly occurring at Busch Stadium, you would never believe it actually happened.
