Patrick Mahomes trolls Tyreek Hill for lame basketball highlight (Video)

Tyreek Hill had his basketball highlight ripped to shreds by Patrick Mahomes and Gehrig Dieter.

Even though they are all Kansas City Chiefs teammates, Patrick Mahomes and Gehrig Dieter were not going to let Tyreek Hill’s incredibly weak highlight slide on Twitter.

Hill wanted to take advantage of the pro athlete’s having another highlight in another sport craze by showing his ability to put the ball through the cylinder. Too bad the speedy wide receiver’s highlight of note was not just a layup, but a put-back layup. Dieter and Mahomes had a field day trolling their Kansas City teammate on Twitter Monday.

The bucket may have counted for the same two points as a dunk, but that is not the point here.

Though Hill’s put-back basket may have helped his team win (or lose, it doesn’t matter at this point), this being his highlight is the equivalent of him showing off his blocking skills on the gridiron. If he were a baseball player, a comparable highlight would be him drawing a walk to first base. If that is the best highlight Hill can offer on the hardwood, we have something in common.

While it is not the coolest thing in the world to dunk on your teammates for other examples of their athletic prowess, Mahomes can do it because he is the best player on the team and the franchise quarterback. We all now that if Mahomes had a hardwood highlight, it would be better than him getting two points on a put-back layup of sorts. He knows what a highlight looks like.

Hill might be faster than all of us, but we can do the same things he can on the basketball court.
