Kyle Pitts wants one specific team to trade up and draft him
Kyle Pitts is embracing the chaos of NFL Draft rumor season, adding fuel to a massive trade fire.
There’s really no place like home. This is something standout tight end Kyle Pitts knows all about. A native of Pennsylvania, he grew up watching the Philadelphia Eagles countless times. So, how about starting off his NFL career with them?
Pitts is expected to be among the top picks on Thursday night in the first round. In order for him to end up with the Eagles, general manager Howie Roseman would no question have to trade up to get him. This is something Pitts would be all for.
Florida tight end Kyle Pitts would enjoy suiting up for the Eagles
“That would be special to get the chance to (get) back home just because people don’t get the opportunity to do that,” Pitts said on the NFL Network, via 247Sports. “Playing at the Linc, never played there, so to actually suit up and have my family there if I were to wear those (Eagles) jerseys — that would be something special. My grandfathers loved the Eagles, both of them. That would be crazy.”
As things stand, the Eagles hold the No. 12 pick in the first round. There’s simply no way Pitts would fall to them at that spot. And while the team has Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert, there’s still the chance that Ertz gets traded before Week 1 arrives for the 2021 campaign.
Come Thursday night, we’ll see which team will land quite the talent in Pitts. If Roseman indeed decides to pull off a stunner, you better believes Eagles fans will be fired up to welcome him back home with open arms.
