Now that Sammy Watkins is with the Baltimore Ravens, the Kansas City Chiefs can find his replacement via the upcoming NFL Draft.

For the Kansas City Chiefs, they’re always going to want to have a heavy amount of weapons for $502 million man Patrick Mahomes. This offseason, the team saw Sammy Watkins leave town and ink a new deal with the Baltimore Ravens.

With that said, the NFL Draft is almost here and there are several guys the Chiefs can go after to replace him.

So, who could the team target?

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Oklahoma State. 3. 856. WR. Tylan Wallace. player

At the top of our list has got to be Oklahoma State wide receiver Tylan Wallace. The 5-foot-11, 195-pounder has tremendous speed and is known for his outstanding hands. Imagine him catching the ball from Mahomes each weekend? It could be quite the combination.

Due to injuries, Wallace was only able to play one full season for the Cowboys, which came back in 2018. He surely made it a memorable one, as he played like one of the best wideouts in the country. That fall, Wallace posted 86 receptions for 1,491 yards and 12 touchdowns.

If he’s available for the Chiefs to take him in the second round with the No. 58 overall pick, it very well could be tough for Brett Veach to not pull the trigger and take him. Again, with his speed and versatility, Wallace could be a true playmaker for the Kansas City offense.

Everyone knows about Tyreek Hill, DeMarcus Robinson, Travis Kelce and the other pass-catchers, but Wallace could step in and really take this unit to new heights. From this chair, he could be a solid second-round get. Andy Reid loves fast receivers, and Wallace could be just what the veteran head coach is looking for.
