The Jacksonville Jaguars are considering signing Tim Tebow to play … tight end.
In the hours leading up to the 2021 NFL Draft, rumors are circulating that the Jacksonville Jaguars are discussing the possibility of signing native son Tim Tebow to play some tight end for them.
After hanging up the baseball spikes, Tebow could potentially reunite with his college coach Urban Meyer down in Duval. While Tebow notoriously refused to switch positions after accuracy issues limited his low ceiling as an NFL quarterback, this is the perfect situation and set of circumstances for Tebow to give it the old college try at tight end for his former Florida Gators head coach.
Tebow catching passes from Trevor Lawrence would be a total media circus down in Jacksonville.
Update on a former first-round pick: Tim Tebow recently worked out for the #Jaguars, source said, and there has been at least some discussion of him signing. Oh, and he’s a tight end now.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Tim Tebow may be joining team as a tight end
Look. Athleticism has never been Tebow’s issue. He has been in outstanding shape throughout his career as a professional athlete. While he views himself more as a quarterback than as a football player, Meyer would be the one guy who would be willing to take a chance on him at tight end. Tebow would play in his hometown for his former college coach he won a Heisman Trophy with.
Could Tebow play tight end in the NFL? Maybe, but it really depends on if he is down with getting hit in his early 30s after spending the last few years in the New York Mets organization chasing down fly balls and hitting dingers. All we know is if there is going to be a second coming of Tebow Mania in the NFL, it would happen in Jacksonville. The North Florida media better be ready for this.
Tebow playing tight end for Meyer’s Jaguars is a Jason Mendoza fever dream from The Good Place.
