Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur posted an emotional tweet after the news of yet another shooting, this time at a casino in Green Bay.

Some unfortunate, heartbreaking news has arrived out of Green Bay over the weekend. On Saturday night, two people were killed and another person was injured following a shooting at the Oneida Casino in Green Bay.

For Packers head coach Matt LeFleur, the latest update of what happened in the community really was disheartening. He made that much clear in an emotional message he posted on his personal Twitter account.

Matt LaFleur was devastated after finding out about the Green Bay shooting

While LaFleur was busy wrapping things up from the NFL Draft on Saturday night, finding out about the shooting really upset him. According to local police reports, witnesses said they heard multiple gunshots and then saw people ‘running for their lives.’

Per a CNN report, the gunman was looking for someone he had a relationship with at a restaurant attached to the casino, but that person wasn’t there. The gunman started firing shots anyways, killing two people and injuring one. Police shot and killed the gunman.

“We have the smallest & closest community in professional sports,” LaFleur wrote in part of his tweet. “It’s unfortunate anytime events like this occur & sad when it hits so close to home.”

Green Bay truly is known for being a small, homey community. That’s what makes the Packers so fun to watch, as the team isn’t located in a major city like Miami, New York, Atlanta or Los Angeles. So whenever a tragedy like this happens in Green Bay, it’s going to really hurt to see for LaFleur, the players and the organization as a whole.
