Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. OL. Missouri. Larry Borom. player. 57. 2

The one thing Chicago needs is flexibility in their offensive line.  For now, two positions seem set with Cody Whitehair and James Daniels. Two more positions could be set with the addition of Jenkins and now Borom.

Primarily used by Missouri as a right tackle, Borom started eight games last season before opting-out. Because of his smaller arms, some view him better suited inside as a guard to help add flexibility in the run game. However, his best strength might be the versatilities as he’s played both guard and left tackle along with being a star on the right side.

As a fifth-rounder, having the expectation for Borom to play right away would be little much. That said, say he thrives in summer camp and the preseason. Is he not going to have the opportunity to start right away? Say Jenkins becomes the long-term left tackle, will Borom not be an option at right tackle?

Being limited to one position sometimes can actually hurt a player’s value. Instead, this is a time a where Borom’s downside is being a depth piece at every role for years to come.
