Davante Adams might have left a comment on the Packers-Aaron Rodgers struggle via social media. Or, ya know, it was just Twitter.

Rodgers and the Packers are stuck in a whirlwind of emotion, with neither side emerging as the victor until No. 12 is either in a different uniform or returning to the Green Bay facility for training camp.

While Rodgers is unhappy with the Packers front office, Green Bay has supported him with a solid No. 1 receiver in Davante Adams. Yet, it’s unsurprising that Adams would support his quarterback in this dilemma, as life without Rodgers likely won’t be as prosperous for the 28-year-old. On social media, Adams dropped one hell of a subtweet about the situation, or so we think.

Davante Adams knows the Packers need Aaron Rodgers

Adams has made the Pro Bowl in four straight seasons, and was an All-Pro in 2020. He’s arguably the best target Rodgers has had during his illustrious Hall-of-Fame career. Yet, this tweet by Adams suggests that he knows Rodgers is on his way out of Green Bay, and there’s very little Brian Gutekunst can do to convince him otherwise.

Who knows, catching passes from Jordan Love may still work out for Adams. But will he put up the same numbers season over season? That feels unlikely.

Rodgers reportedly grew fed up with Green Bay’s front office over their decision to draft Love without telling him, and the moves that subsequently came after, including cutting his good friend and target Jake Kumerow.

The player empowerment movement is upon us, whether the Packers want to admit it or not. Letting Rodgers in on the direction of the franchise would’ve taken very little effort, and saved a headache in the process. That’s Gutekunst’s greatest flaw.
