Dallas Cowboys fans are going to love what Dak Prescott said on Tuesday afternoon.

After missing most of last season with a broken ankle, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott gave an update on video about how his recovery is going.

“I could go play in a game right now and in my head be very, very successful,” Prescott said. “There’s no doubt that when I need to be successful, when I need to do the things that it takes to be on the field, I’ll do exactly that and the timing will be right.”

With a healthy Prescott, the Cowboys could win the NFC East. This is the most winnable division in football, as the Washington Football Team won it a year ago with a sub-.500 record of 7-9. Though the New York Giants played well down the stretch, we are not sure what to make of Daniel Jones under center. As for the Philadelphia Eagles, how about a game of rock, paper, scissors?

If you are a Cowboys fan and are not fired up after what Prescott said Tuesday, I don’t know what to tell you.

Dallas Cowboys: Dak Prescott gives a positive update on his ankle injury

This will be Prescott’s second season playing under head coach Mike McCarthy. Though last year was a total disaster for McCarthy in Dallas, the Cowboys got bit by the injury bug bad. If they are healthier than they were a season ago, Dallas can not only push for a division crown, but could potentially get to an NFC Championship game for the first time since 1995. It has been that long.

As for Prescott, this is a big year for him professionally. He has gotten paid a lavish, multi-year extension by the Cowboys. If all goes according to plan, he can be a top-eight quarterback in this league. His offense should be one of the better units in the NFC. As long as the defense improves under new coordinator Dan Quinn, Dallas could be one of the four best teams in its conference.

If Prescott thinks he can play right now, then you better believe his recovery has gone over well.
