These could be the five best quarterback prospects entering the 2022 NFL Draft.
Only time will tell, but there is a chance these are the five best quarterback prospects that could enter the 2022 NFL Draft.
I get that were are not even a week removed from the 2021 NFL Draft, one that featured five quarterbacks going in the first round. However, it is not like there will be a dearth of draft-eligible signal-callers rifling the pigskin around the gridiron on fall Saturdays next season. Though not all will likely end up going in the first round, these five prospects have a legitimate shot to do so.
Here are the five best quarterback prospects for 2022 heading into the college offseason.

Malik Willis could be the best small-school candidate to crack the top 32
There are a few Group of 5 quarterbacks who could be first-round picks. While Cincinnati’s Desmond Ridder and Nevada’s Carson Strong are quality candidates for this distinction, it would be foolish to overlook Malik Willis over at Liberty. The Flames could be a candidate to come out of the Group of 5 this year like Ridder’s Bearcats did a season ago. Hugh Freeze will coach Willis up.
Willis is the 2022 version of Trey Lance, the smaller school prospect who dazzles. Of course, Lance may have the higher ceiling of the two, but Willis was a former Power 5 quarterback from his initial run at Auburn. He played at the same Georgia high schools that gave us Cam Newton and Xavier McKinney.
