Clemson football star Justyn Ross responds to rumors of entering transfer portal
Clemson football’s star receiver Justyn Ross is not going anywhere despite a wave of rumors suggesting he was planning to enter the transfer portal.
Alabama football fans rubbed their hands together. Clemson football fans held their breath. But rumors of Justyn Ross’ imminent transfer have been greatly exaggerated.
The Tigers’ wide receiver addressed those rumors with a simple denial on Monday morning.
“Slow day I see, I’m not transferring,” Ross tweeted.
A Clemson spokesperson added that Ross told the school he had no idea where the rumors came from.
Justyn Ross has no intentions of transferring from Clemson
Talk of Ross transferring popped up on Twitter on Sunday night, but no one seems to know where they originated.

He’s definitely not in the transfer portal officially, per ClemsonSports.com.
That didn’t stop Alabama fans and others from speculating about the possibility of the star receiver bolstering Nick Saban’s juggernaut. Auburn fans also dared to dream of drawing the Alabama product back home.
Ross is on his way back from a serious injury that kept him out of the 2020 season. It started with a stinger during spring practice last March. It ended with a diagnosis for a congenital spine condition that required surgery.
The former four-star recruit broke out as a freshman when he led Clemson in receiving. He added 66 catches for 865 yards and eight touchdowns as a sophomore in 2019.
He’ll be D.J. Uiagalelei’s best friend in 2020 as the two look to guide the Tigers on from the Trevor Lawrence era. Clemson will need Ross to take on a starring role with Amari Rodgers and Cornell Powell gone as well.
