3) at New York Jets
Jets general manager Joe Douglas has been lauded, and rightfully so, for an impressive haul in the NFL Draft and for the underrated addition of wide receiver Corey Davis to new quarterback Zach Wilson’s supporting cast.
If Wilson hits the ground running, the Jets could be a threat to steal an AFC Wild Card berth, in a division that was won last season by the Buffalo Bills.
However, Wilson remains an unknown, and the Eagles’ front-seven has been impressive against rookie quarterbacks in recent seasons, which could be an edge in this contest.
The Jets, at least until Wilson hits his stride, are the type of team the Eagles should be favored to win against, and must pull out a victory over, if they are going to have any designs on competing this season.
