1. Giannis Antetokounmpo is a two-way monster

Giannis Antetokoumpo has largely been out of the MVP conversation, because of a combination of his team’s drop-off, the brilliance of Nikola Jokic and voter fatigue after Giannis won the last two (and then went out early in the playoffs). But you can make the argument that he’s been just as dominant this season as he has the past two.

Per-minute, he’s scoring and rebounding slightly less than he did last year, but he’s still averaging 28.2 points, 11.0 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.2 blocks per game. His free-throw percentage is significantly up from last season and his field goal percentage is the second-highest of his career.

His flaws have shown up in the past two postseasons but the Bucks are in a better position than ever to compensate for those flaws and allow Giannis to simply be the destructive basketball force that he is.
