After first practice, Justin Fields loves the love Bears fans are showing him

Justin Fields and Chicago Bears fans are a match made in football heaven.

Even though he has only been on the Chicago Bears for a few weeks, quarterback Justin Fields is already feeling the love from Bears fans.

Chicago traded up to No. 11 to take the Ohio State quarterback in the 2021 NFL Draft. For the first time in a well over a lifetime, Bears fans feel like they have something special with their soon-to-be franchise quarterback.

Fields will have to eventually take the starting job from Andy Dalton, but it is more likely than not Fields will start games at some point during his rookie year with Chicago.

Trading up for Fields has made Bears fans feel more optimistic than they have at any point ever.

Right off the bat, Fields will be the most talented quarterback to play for the Bears since Jay Cutler. The hope in Chicago is Fields can be the 21st century version of Sid Luckman and help the Bears win multiple Super Bowls before he hangs up the spikes sometime in his 40s many years from now.

Fields has draw comparisons to Deshaun Watson and Steve Young coming out of Ohio State.

Few franchises have had worse luck post-Luckman than the Bears when it comes to quarterbacks. Fields is giving Bears fans more hope than any signal-caller has ever given them previously.

If Fields balls out in Chicago, he could become one of city’s most beloved athletes of all time.
