Penguins fans react to Sidney Crosby’s ludicrously unfair goal vs. Islanders
Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby’s one-handed deflection goal against the New York Islanders was something out of Stars Wars.
Hockey fans have come to expect the unexpected when it comes to Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby. Not only is Sid The Kid absurdly talented, he also has an incredibly quick hockey mind. He’s always thinking four moves ahead of everyone else.
Crosby’s combination of skill and intelligence have led to some pretty amazing goals. Nothing sums up the lethal duo of his skill and intelligence than his latest masterpiece, a one-handed deflection goal against the New York Islanders.
Tied at 1-1 in the second period, the Pens needed a lift. They got one from their captain, who somehow deflected a shot from teammate Brian Dumoulin into the goal despite being in traffic.
Sidney Crosby continues to blow ours minds
I mean, how do you defend that? You can’t. All you can do is tip your hat to Sid The Kid and shake your head because he keeps making stuff like this look easy. This was Crosby’s 69th playoff goal, which ties him with longtime frenemy Alex Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals. Among active players, his 69 goals trail only Patrick Marleau, who has 72 career postseason goals.
Crosby’s 190 points are the most among all active players. He’s averaging well over a point per game in the postseason during his career. When Crosby plays against the best, he tends to play his best. That’s why he’s one of the greatest hockey players of all-time.
Appreciate him while you can because once he’s gone, it’ll be a long time before we see someone with his unique blend of skill, size, and intelligence.
Fans react to Crosby’s Jedi Mind Trick
Fans have seen Crosby do so many ridiculous things, but they were still impressed by what he did against the Islanders.
