3. Stop pushing Drew McIntyre so much

It’s easy to understand why the WWE feels compelled to keep McIntyre at the top of the Monday night card. He did yeoman’s work keeping the product interesting during the global pandemic. The ratings might have fallen off a cliff without his compelling work during that tumultuous time.

There is a real danger in overexposing the Scottish Psychopath though. He’s a tremendous in-ring worker but the range of his promos isn’t going to cause anyone to confuse McIntyre with Dusty Rhodes on the mic.

That means WWE officials need to be careful not to shove McIntyre down the throats of fans who watch the show on a weekly basis. He doesn’t need to be banished to the mid-card, but a month or two away from the WWE title picture would be a prudent move for all involved.

Fortunately, it appears that McIntyre is headed for a feud with Braun Strowman that won’t have title implications for the foreseeable future. The two behemoths should be able to tell a compelling in-ring story without spending too much time cutting promos. A little less McIntyre now will make fans much more excited when he does make his inevitable return to the main event scene.
