5 ways the WWE can make Monday Night RAW exciting again
1. Re-sign Daniel Bryan
Bryan’s recent loss to Roman Reigns on Smackdown signaled the end of his time on WWE’s Friday night programming. It would be easy to construct a scenario where he resurfaces on RAW. The only challenge is that Bryan is currently sports entertainment’s most attractive free agent.
The WWE can’t move quickly enough to bring Bryan and his “Yes Movement” back into the fold. The days of him carrying a show for a full 12-month schedule are likely over, but he’s still one of the best in-ring performers in the business when he’s given proper rest. Putting him in a high-profile RAW feud with a slow build towards SummerSlam could do wonders to help the WWE on Monday nights.
A program pitting Bryan against fellow veteran Randy Orton could turn into a captivating storyline. Of course, Bryan might prefer working with a younger talent like Ricochet to help grow the next generation of WWE superstars. Bryan’s opponent isn’t all that important. He has the ability to work with anyone and make them look like a superstar.
Bringing Bryan back into the fold quickly may not be possible, but the WWE can’t afford to let him test the waters of AEW or another promotion. Meeting his demands and bringing him back to Monday Night RAW should be one of the company’s top priorities until a deal gets done.
