Here’s why Jalen Ramsey is getting trolled by Bears fans on Twitter

Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey is beefing with Bears fans on Twitter.
How do you know the NFL offseason has sunk to its darkest and deepest depths of its offseason? Because players have more time on their hands than they know what to do with.
Unless you’re Jalen Ramsey, in which case you know exactly how to spend your time: Feuding with Bears fans on social media.
Wait, what?
As Mad Lib as that all sounds, the Pro Bowl cornerback is toiling his week away by not only noticing that Chicago Bears fans are calling him out on Twitter but is taking time to respond. It’s going to be a slow burn feud, as the Bears and Rams don’t play each other until September, but it’s one that you’re going to want to keep the receipts for.
Why is Jalen Ramsey getting trolled by Bears fans on Twitter?
The trolling stems from a play that happened in last year’s Monday night game between the Bears and Rams. While Los Angeles kicked Chicago’s entire ass in that game, Bears receiver Darnell Mooney beat Ramsey on a double-move on the outside and would have roasted him for a touchdown had Nick Foles not air mailed the pass.
A Bears fan on Twitter called Ramsey out, thus lighting the fuse on a Twitter beef no one had on their BINGO card today.
Things got to the point where Bears fans were editing Wikipedia entries to reflect the grassroots feud that was brewing all Tuesday afternoon. Darnell Mooney’s Wikipedia page was edited to say that his only child was Jalen Ramsey.

Of course, what’s a feud if it’s only one-sided. After hours of vandalizing Ramsey on the internet, the Rams cornerback fired back on Instagram (also giving us the Holy Trinity of internet trolling — Twitter, Wikipedia, and Instagram).
“Can’t wait until Week 1 so all these lame ass Bears fans can STFU about they [sic] number two receiver,” Ramsey wrote in an Instagram story, punctuating it with crying face emojis. “It’s funny kus [sic] they kno [sic] better too.”
The Bears travel to SoFi Stadium the first week of the season to play the Rams, a game they’re already an underdog in. Not only are the Rams a seemingly superior team to start the season, but they’ll be quarterbacked by a guy who knows the Bears well: Matthew Stafford.
For what it’s worth, Ramsey will almost certainly be covering Allen Robinson and not Darnell Mooney.
The flip side to that could be that the Bears know Stafford well and know him better than he’ll likely know a new Rams offense which would put Chicago in a position to upset Los Angeles to start the season.
Weird things happen Week 1, but why wait until then when weird things like an All-Pro corner beefing with fans on Twitter can happen in May?
