The New Orleans Saints run into the Green Bay Packers come Week 1 and if Aaron Rodgers is behind center, then that will mean they’ll start off the year 0-1.

New Orleans Saints fans are counting down the days for Week 1 of the 2021 campaign to arrive. While Drew Brees is retired and off spending more time with his family, either Taysom Hill or Jameis Winston will be ready to take over the offense.

Unfortunately for one of the them, their first showdown as the team’s starter will come up against the Green Bay Packers and (maybe) Aaron Rodgers. This is bad news for the New Orleans supporters.

Green Bay will be ready to make a statement come Week 1 against the Saints

In predicting when the Saints’ first loss of the campaign will come, there’s no doubt it will be to start the season against the Packers. However, that depends on whether or not Rodgers indeed returns to the team and throws the ball all over the field like normal.

His offseason drama with the Green Bay front office and general manager Brian Gutekunst has been well documented, with reports even saying that Rodgers would consider retiring instead of suiting up for the Packers again.

With that said, Rodgers is coming off an MVP season in which he threw for 48 touchdowns. He then powered the NFC North powerhouse to the conference championship game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

If Rodgers does return, the Packers no doubt have what it takes to potentially get to the Super Bowl. It will all depend on whether or not Gutekunst can fix this mess he’s created. Our gut tells us he’ll be able to do so. With Rodgers potentially back in the fold, he’ll look to send a major statement as soon as the new season arrives. That would result in putting on a show against New Orleans in Week 1. Should that happen, we’d expect Green Bay to record a dominant win.
