Nolan Arenado’s hot streak continues with fourth home run in as many games (Video)

Nolan Arenado has hit four home runs in four games, and six overall in the month of May.
When the St. Louis Cardinals acquired Nolan Arenado, this is what they imagined. His power numbers have carried over just fine to the pitcher-friendly Busch Stadium, as Arenado went deep again on Tuesday night in the Cards’ night game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Entering the week, Arenado was leading the league in slugging percentage, OPS and total bases. He’s tied for the league lead in hits.
So much for that transition period. Arenado is absolutely raking in Cardinals red, creating a ridiculous corner infield 1-2 punch with Paul Goldschmidt.
St. Louis Cardinals among National League elite
Parity has never been more obvious in the National League in recent years than right now, as St. Louis has the second-best record in their league at 23-18, just five games over .500. They’re two games up in the division over the Milwaukee Brewers.
“He’s tied for first, for me, as one of the hardest workers that I’ve ever played with, just in all phases of his game,” Matt Carpenter said of Arenado. “He’s 100% healthy, and he’s showing it every day [and] every pitch the way he’s playing now.”
Arenado’s success is just beginning in St. Louis, and they got him for virtually nothing. Somewhere, Jeff Bridich is smiling.
