PGA DFS DraftKings picks, PGA Championship 2021: Best fantasy golf lineup
PGA Championship DraftKings picks: $7,000 range
Abraham Ancer ($7,900) – Pretty quietly, Ancer hasn’t finished outside of the top 26 since late February, including back-to-back top fives. His lack of length may come into play but you’re getting a discount on someone playing very well right now.
Shane Lowry ($7,800) – The winner of the last Open Championship we saw, Lowry is now stranger to the types of challenges Kiawah could present. More importantly, he’s been playing sneakily well in 2021 and might be a popper at a course that could suit him.
Joaquin Niemann ($7,800) – Coming off of back-to-back top-20 finishes — including a top-10 at the Valspar — Niemann could play well here. He’s quietly a long hitter who has a well-rounded game, which are two things you probably need to be on the first page of the leaderboard.
Paul Casey ($7,700) – Taking a European background and combining it with an elite, veteran ball-striker is a recipe for an enticing golfer on DraftKings, hence why you’re likely to see a lot of people on Casey at this modest price.
Marc Leishman ($7,600) – Leishman can get a bit squirrely with the driver but he’s a great overall ball-striker with enough length to do damage. If the putter is in good for, the big Aussie should be able to continue some recent good form and make a little noise in this second major of the year.
Corey Conners ($7,600) – Conners has been the best ball-striker on the PGA Tour this year by Strokes Gained metrics. That’s going to matter at this course and we know he can show up high in a loaded field. It all depends on how much the putter wants to work with him this week, as is the case every week.
Sam Burns ($7,500) – I’m probably going to pivot from Burns at the PGA Championship just because he’s such a good value that it’s hard to imagine that everyone isn’t on him. After all, he comes in with a win and a runner-up as his last two finishes, so he’s obviously on fire right now.
Matt Wallace ($7,400) – Though he’s only got one top five, Wallace has showed up a few times of late and could be a great, relatively safe value on DraftKings. With three top-20s in his last three non-majors and experience in wind, he could be a nice option for you at a lower price.
Keegan Bradley ($7,300) – I’m all over Bradley this week as it feels like he may be slipping under the radar. But not only has he been great lately with six-straight top-30 finishes and a runner-up in that span but he finished T3 at Kiawah in 2012 the last time the PGA Championship rolled through.
Si Woo Kim ($7,200) – Kim gets labeled as the master of Pete Dye courses and for good reason with the success he’s had on them. His form is always inconsistent but, with the propensity to pop on courses from this architect, this is a good price to gamble on the South Korean with.
Jason Kokrak ($7,100) – Obviously, Kokrak has more than enough length to tackle this beast but he’s also just smoothly been sliding under the radar with strong finishes, including four top-15s in his last five starts and three top-10s over that same span. This could be a big value play for PGA DFS players.
Robert Macintyre ($7,000) – In truth, Macintyre is somewhat of a gut play. He was in the top 12 at The Masters, in the top 10 last week at the British Masters and is a long-hitter who can attack in the wind. He could crash and burn but there are a lot worse value plays than the Scot.
