Ranking the 5 best college football helmets and the 5 worst helmets from 2020

5. Worst helmet in college football: TCU goes rouge
I am well aware that I’m stepping into dangerous territory here but I really dislike the addition of red to TCU. I was shocked to see red make an appearance and after giving it a chance, I just never saw it as a good thing.
The red looks super violent which is not a bad thing but it is so loud and just takes away from the rest of the uniform. The red accent is just too much and I hate how it clashes with purple and black, it’s a weird combo for TCU. Red is just being used as an outline here and it’s still too much, that’s just a bad sign.
This helmet was actually a part of UniSwag’s Uniform of the Year in 2020. I am shocked that this uniform won but hey, we all have different tastes.
4. Worst helmet in college football: A Maryland obsession
People from Maryland are about to yell at me for this and I’m so sorry for saying it but, I really dislike the Maryland Flag helmets, like a lot. It’s amazing how much state and flag pride people from Maryland have, they are some of the most passionate people in the world and they love this place and flag more than anything it seems.
Those of us that don’t associate with Maryland just seem to agree, it’s just a bad helmet. I’m a fan of the flag being on the shoulder sleeves, y’all should have stopped there. It looks odd on the dome and just looks flat-out bad. There isn’t really much else to say.
I like plenty of other helmets Maryland has worn in recent years, that Terps script helmet goes crazy. Maryland your flag is literally everywhere, maybe it shouldn’t be on the Terps helmet though.
