3. Best helmet in college football: Florida excels

The Florida Gators have mastered the uniform game and do an excellent job at promoting their brand. The Gators script on that orange helmet is an iconic look, the Gators script on a white helmet is a much more modern look and boy do I love it.

It really isn’t easy to top the orange Florida domes but this might just get the job done. It’s a very clean look, the Gators script is looking as immaculate as ever. I really like the Orange/Blue/White helmet stripe, they did such a great job with these helmets. Wow.

2. Best helmet in college football: The Ole Miss identity

When you think of Ole Miss football it’s very likely that you envision that powder blue helmet with the red Ole Miss script. An iconic look. It is hands down one of the best helmets in football and even a Mississippi State fan would tell you it looks dang good.

That power blue lid is special, it is just remarkable.

While we’re on the topic of powder blue, please lose the powder blue jerseys, they aren’t near as aesthetically pleasing as seeing the sun shining off a powder blue helmet on a Saturday evening in the fall. The last thing we want is a powder blue overdose.

1. Best helmet in college football: Ride the green wave of Tulane

I love what Tulane has been doing in the uniform game recently and these lids featuring the surfing pelican logo are top-notch. To me, it’s one of the best logos in sports. It has a retro vibe, it’s goofy, it’s unique, and it looks outstanding.

The helmet is sleek, that beautiful baby blue color with a nice green and white stripe, then that indescribably good logo on the side. So great.

The logo derives from the 1920s and this was the first time Tulane ever wore a helmet featuring the logo. These helmets were a big hit and I think I speak for everyone here when I say we want more of the surfing pelican. Let me see this logo on a white helmet next season.

Tulane dominates the uniform game like no other, it’s about time they got the respect they deserve.
