Aaron Rodgers could potentially break his silence regarding his status with the Green Bay Packers during Kenny Mayne’s last SportsCenter later this month.

In the hours leading up to the 2021 NFL Draft, ESPN dropped the bombshell report that quarterback and reigning NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers had no desire to play for the Green Bay Packers any longer. While football fans have heard general manager Brian Gutekunst and head coach Matt LaFleur speak on the reports, but not Rodgers.

That may be coming to an end soon. Or not.

ESPN anchor Kenny Mayne revealed the guests for his final “SportsCenter” show on Monday, May 24, and on the list is none other than Rodgers.

Is it possible that Rodgers will break his silence on the news that he wants out of Green Bay? We would say not to bank on it and expect him to talk about anything other than the topic that is dominating headlines in the NFL.

We have heard it all regarding Rodgers ever since the report dropped on the first night of the NFL Draft. From Rodgers turning down a massive contract extension that would have made him the highest-paid quarterback in the league to Rodgers refusing to return unless the team fired Gutekunst. With all those reports, there has not been a single peep from Rodgers about the topic. All we have heard is Gutekunst and LaFleur saying they plan on Rodgers being Green Bay’s quarterback for the foreseeable future.

All eyes will be on Green Bay on June 8, the first day of the team’s mandatory minicamp. If you thought the Packers were confident in Rodgers showing up for the practices, the signings of Blake Bortles and Kurt Benkert say otherwise.

Even though we may not hear a single thing from Rodgers about whether he wants a trade from the Packers, you can at least tune in for the brilliant Mayne’s final show with ESPN.
