Everybody enjoyed Game 3 between the Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Islanders.
After a wild and crazy first two games of their series, everyone was looking forward to seeing the Pittsburgh Penguins take on the New York Islanders for Game 3 of their first round matchup. The two teams certainly didn’t disappoint, as the two teams provided what might be the most compelling, exciting game of the postseason thus far.
In a back and forth game of tug and war, it was the Penguins who emerged on top 5-4. The two teams traded blows all game long, but Brandon Tanev provided the knockout punch with just under four minutes remaining in the game.
Naturally, Twitter loved the game. Twitter is a great place to experience sports. Games like Game 3 are why it’s the best. Fans from both sides engaged with each other. Even fans from other teams chimed in.
The highlight of the night came when nine (!!!!) players combined from both teams went to the penalty box. After the Islanders nearly scored, there was a huge net front scrum and pretty much everybody on the ice except the goalies got involved.
The Isles and Penguins are best buds.

It’s been a while since the Islanders and Penguins have hated each other this much. They’ve had some great battles over the years and tonight’s nine man battle royal was a nice throwback to the those wars.
All it took for this Penguins-Islanders series to win me over was Matt Martin basically threatening to kill every single Pittsburgh player

These teams have never really liked each other. But the anger and nastiness between the #Isles and #Penguins is asking for fantastic theater.

Butch trying to count the Pens players here is the moment of the series for me so far. That’s how boring our offense is... pic.twitter.com/uVbsEGLdJx
