Charles Barkley’s sleeping habits got put on blast during TNT’s broadcast of the NBA Playoffs when Shaquille O’Neal shared video of his co-host dozing off.

The Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal partnership on TNT’s NBA coverage keeps paying off.

During halftime of the 76ers and Wizards playoff game, Shaq put Barkley on blast for falling asleep during the action.

When Barkley started giving credit to the 76ers for their defense on Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook, Shaq cut in to challenge exactly what he knew about how the game played out.

“I know snitches get stitches, but he was not watching the game,” Shaq said.

The video is everything people love about TNT’s studio coverage featuring Shaq and Barkley. There are a lot of laughs on set. It’s contagious. That was definitely the case on Sunday as playoff coverage tipped off.

NBA Playoffs: Shaq caught Charles Barkley napping on ‘Inside the NBA’

Regardless of how long Barkley slept or how much he actually missed, he had a reason for the snoozing.

“I was a little tired today,” Barkley admitted. “I shot a commercial all day yesterday in the sun, so I’m a little tired.”

Good-natured ribbing followed. After all, who hasn’t found themselves dozing off after a long day? Most people don’t do it while covering NBA games, of course. They definitely don’t end up napping somewhere Shaq could grab video proof.

Barkley is going to Barkley. That’s why he’s great.

As for what Barkley might have missed, the Wizards hung around with the 76ers in the first half of Game 1, leading the No. 1 seed at the break 62-61. However, 31 points from Beal and 14 assists from Westbrook weren’t quite enough to maintain that lead. Philadelphia got big scoring output from Tobias Harris and Joel Embiid, along with double-digit rebounds and assists from Ben Simmons to pull ahead in the second half.
