Portland also received some help off the bench from Carmelo Anthony, who recorded 18 points (6-for-12 from field) in his playoff return to Denver.

The Nuggets did receive some strong performances from NBA MVP finalist Nikola Jokic (34 points, 16 rebounds) and Michael Porter Jr. (25 points, nine rebounds). However, they did not do enough to keep the game close against Portland.
